Prepare for the next Blood Moon
Prepare a fighting position, ammunition, repairs, medical supplies and a way out. The date depends on your world's Blood Moon settings.
Description
A useful readiness check identifies a missing resource or unfinished task. It cannot guarantee survival from a few input fields: geometry, aim, enemy behavior, settings and player decisions also matter. Keep a fallback position so losing one part of the defense does not force you to improvise the whole escape.
Prepare defensive functions in order
Choose a fighting position and escape route, then prepare suitable repair materials, weapons, compatible ammunition and treatment. Check whether important repair points are reachable from the defense.
Blood Moon timing and behavior depend on the world. Do not assume every game needs an identical seventh-evening plan. Leave enough preparation time to address a missing requirement.
Plan beyond the first barrier
A useful defense lets you respond after one element fails. Establish a second line, retreat direction and supply position. Storage beyond a breach may become practically inaccessible.
In a team, divide special-enemy observation, fighting and repairs. Check that traps, firing lanes and moving players do not interfere with each other. Afterward, inspect supports, passages and depleted supplies first.
What to do
- Check the event schedule. Do not assume every world uses the default interval.
- Choose where you will fight and how you will retreat if that position fails. Keep the route clear.
- Repair weapons and defenses, load ammunition and put emergency healing where you can use it quickly.
- Set aside materials for repairs during the night. In a team, assign shooting, repairs and supply duties before the fight.
Worked example
Separate your fighting reserve from everyday storage. Supplies are useful only if you can reach them while the defence is under pressure. Choose a retreat point before the first repair or reload forces you to improvise.
Common mistake
Treating the world day alone as a complete prediction of the size and difficulty of the fight.
