Answers describe the base game. World settings and mods can change its rules.
How do I cure infection after a zombie attack?
Use honey, herbal antibiotics or antibiotics. Watch the infection percentage and active treatment because healing is gradual. A normal bandage or restoring health does not cure infection.

Link to this answerHow much infection do honey and antibiotics treat?
The base treatment amounts are 5 percentage points for honey, 10 for herbal antibiotics and 25 for antibiotics. One honey is not enough for 8% infection. Further hits and changed world settings can affect treatment.

Link to this answerWhere can I quickly find honey?
Break tree stumps and check suitable loot and traders. Honey from stumps is random, so several empty attempts do not prove a bug. Later, you can produce honey in an apiary.

No. They provide temporary protection from new infection and treat fatigue. An existing infection needs an item with an infection treatment effect.

Yes. Honey tea, Honey Glazed Sham and Honey Brisket also provide infection treatment. Check each item's properties instead of assuming every honey product has the same strength.
Link to this answerHow do I stop bleeding?
Use a bandage or suitable first aid item. Stopping bleeding does not necessarily heal a deep laceration or restore all health. Check your remaining injury icons.

Link to this answerWhy do I still have a deep laceration after using a bandage?
Bleeding and a deep laceration are separate effects. A sewing kit or first aid kit treats a deep laceration. A normal bandage can stop blood loss while leaving the injury untreated.

Link to this answerHow do I heal a broken or sprained leg?
Apply a splint or cast and avoid sprinting and jumping. Recovery takes time, and stressing the leg can delay healing and cause damage. Treatment does not always restore full mobility immediately.

Link to this answerWhy is my arm taking longer to heal?
Actions listed by the injury icon can worsen it, including ranged attacks and power attacks. Apply a splint or cast and limit those actions. Restoring health alone does not remove the injury.
Link to this answerHow do I treat a concussion or fatigue?
Painkillers treat a concussion, while vitamins treat fatigue. Read the effect name first. Also check medicine side effects, such as reduced hydration.

Link to this answerHow do I treat dysentery?
Use an item that treats dysentery, such as goldenrod tea, and restore fluids. Stop consuming unsafe food and water. Infection antibiotics are not a universal cure for every illness.
Link to this answerWhy will my health or stamina bar not fill completely?
Injuries, hunger and other effects can reduce the available maximum. Read their descriptions, eat, drink and treat the relevant condition. Repeated first aid kits do not always fix the underlying problem.
Link to this answerWhy do I run out of stamina during combat?
Check hydration, injuries, encumbrance and your weapon's attack cost. Save stamina for retreating, pause between attacks and develop relevant perks. A stronger weapon may be harder for an untrained character to use.
