V3.4.0 is now available as a stable PC/Steam release. It adds backpack and container search and category filters, trader recovery for missing drones, and fixes; the notes also describe a multiplayer issue with older shared quests.
What changed
- Backpack and containers: search by item name or filter by category to find supplies faster.
- Lost drone: ask a trader to recover a stuck or missing drone. The announcement does not specify a price or other limits.
- Backpack capacity effects: Night Stalker Vol. 4, Steroids, Chicken Nuggets and the completed Fireman's Almanac set were updated for the new backpack capacity changes. Exact effect values were not listed.
- Inventory fixes: unboosted items no longer show the boosted icon in multiplayer; selling the tenth hotbar item works again; vehicle inventory scrolling accounts for storage mods; Shift+Left Click moves items to zombie bags and airdrops without errors; missing block backgrounds in the scrollable backpack were restored.
- Other fixes: deployed drones no longer circle the player; the White River quest turn-in NRE was fixed; macOS launches with EAC enabled; a rare Discord-linked login lockout was fixed; GetSandboxOptions prints changed values when listing all options; zombie color variants were restored in b6.
- The V3.4.0 b9 hotfix is deployed on all platforms and fixes locked inventory slots resetting after the inventory closes.
- The V3.4.0 b9 hotfix is deployed on all platforms and fixes multiplayer crashes caused by shared quests started before V3.4.0.
- Known inventory issue: the V3.4.0 announcement lists a one-time indexing error. Joining a dedicated server or peer-to-peer game on V3.4.0 b6 or later may turn some resource items in a client inventory from V3.3 into different items. The announcement gives no recovery steps.
