Silencer Mod

A sound suppressor greatly reduces the firing sound, but reduces maximum range and damage.

Works best with small calibers and guns with a low rate of fire.

How this modification works

Quieter shots can still attract enemies. The damage penalty is 15% until the Urban Combat collection completion bonus removes that penalty. Damage starts falling off sooner and maximum range remains reduced even after completing the collection.

Install the finished modification in a compatible item through Modify. A weapon or tool must be in use, and armor must be worn, for its effects to apply. A loose modification in your backpack does not provide its bonus.

Select the item in your inventory, open Modify and place a compatible modification into a free slot. The list shows compatible options, not a set that can all be installed together. Mods sharing a function can conflict. Mod quality changes its bonus; item quality determines the available slots.
