Drum Magazine Mod

This large drum magazine increases the ammo capacity on machine guns, but is a little slower to reload.

How this modification works

More ammunition fits before a reload. The modification does not create ammunition: you still need to load it. Percentage capacity bonuses can be rounded when converted to a whole number of rounds.

Lower-quality drums slow reloading. At Q6 the magazine bonus reaches 100% and this modification has no reload-speed penalty. A 25% reduction in reload speed is not the same as a 25% increase in reload time.

Q1-Q6 refer to the modification quality, not the weapon quality. Percentage changes describe a particular statistic; they are not a guaranteed percentage change in your final damage, accuracy or travel time.

Install the finished modification in a compatible item through Modify. A weapon or tool must be in use, and armor must be worn, for its effects to apply. A loose modification in your backpack does not provide its bonus.

Select the item in your inventory, open Modify and place a compatible modification into a free slot. The list shows compatible options, not a set that can all be installed together. Mods sharing a function can conflict. Mod quality changes its bonus; item quality determines the available slots.
