Adding a dye mod applies a tint to an item. They are installed into the cosmetic slot of the item's modify window.

How this modification works

Place the dye in the cosmetic slot. It changes the tint of supported parts, so the result depends on the item model. It does not occupy an ordinary functional modification slot.

Install dye in the cosmetic slot of the item or vehicle modification screen. Remove it to reuse it on another compatible item. Check dyes already installed in found equipment too. Dye tints surfaces, rather than changing every part of the model. Paint for building blocks is a separate item.
