Frame Shapes

Frames are the gateway block to building. They can be used to rough out base ideas or as temporary scaffolding.

Pick them up at any time. Upgrade them with wood & a construction tool to make them permanent and much stronger.

Building blocks and shapes

Craft a block of the chosen material and put it on your toolbelt. Before placing it, open Shapes from the radial menu; on PC, hold R by default. Use Advanced Rotation to orient the shape on different axes. Changing shape does not change material. Repair and upgrade with a stone axe, claw hammer or nailgun and the required resources in your backpack. Shape affects support and passage, so check structural stability.
